Our Story

Fowler Preferred Insurance Agency, located in Anderson SC was founded by Fred Fowler Jr in 1962. It is a family owned and operated business serving South Carolina and Georgia. Fowler Preferred is an independent agency ready to serve you and your insurance needs.

Passion. Experience. Diligence.

“It has been a special opportunity to serve the Lord together as a family as we help take care of Church Insurance needs for the past sixty years. It is a great experience working with my mother, Dot Fowler and my son, David Fowler everyday as a team in helping to take care of the insurance needs of churches.

Working with Church Insurance is different than any other type of insurance because they are God’s Houses of Worship. To us serving churches with their insurance needs is both a ministry and business.”

The Story of our Logo

The Shield - has a two-fold meaning. The shield resembles a family crest. We are a family owned and operated business. The shield also serves as a reminder from Psalm 33:20 that we put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and shield.

The Cross - on top represents that we are a faith based business as we serve the insurance needs for churches and His people.

The Branches - remind us that apart from Christ we can do nothing. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me and I in them will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5.

The Letter “F”- stands for the Fowler Name. The insurance agency was founded over sixty years ago by R. Fred Fowler Jr. His son, Stewart Fowler and grandson, David Fowler continue his example of excellent customer service and an understanding of the local church.

The Letter “P”- stands for Preferred. This is an acknowledgement that customers prefer us and the companies which we represent. We are available for your insurance questions and concerns.
